Brrr…I am jumping into the icy waters of Lake Lanier Saturday, February 20th.
No, I’m not crazy – I’m raising money for the Special Olympics of Georgia and I need your help!
Each year the Johns Creek Police Department (JCPD) participates with groups all over the US in the Polar Plunge which is the largest fundraising effort for the Special Olympics. It is presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run of Georgia.
Since I volunteer with JCPD in the Citizen Auxiliary Police Services (CAPS), I am participating in the 2016 Polar Plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics. This will be the first year the JCPD-CAPS have their own team and our goal is to raise $5,000. Please join me in supporting Georgia’s 26,702 athletes as they realize the power and joy of sports!
Support me by clicking here on our TEAM PAGE where you can contribute online in just a minute. Please make your donation now or no later than February 19th, 2016! The funds are used to pay for the athletes to participate in events at no cost to the family! Also, please share with your friends and family on Facebook and other social media to help me get the word out.
Your participation is greatly appreciated and donations are tax deductible. I will post photos for you after the event so check back here.
Thank you!
